New U.S. politics e-resources from CQ Press: U.S. Political Stats, CQ Almanac and more

The Penn Libraries have acquired several online products from CQ Press, a subsidiary of SAGE, to support campus interest in the U.S. political process:

U.S. Political Stats, a data visualization tool for biographical characteristics of all U.S. Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Supreme Court Justices, and members of Congress, 1983-present; election returns for U.S. President, House, Senate, and State Governor general, primary, and special elections starting with 1982/1984 at state, county, and congressional district levels; campaign finance data from 2008 on; House and Senate floor votes and interest group scores starting with 1983; Presidential performance scores from George Washington to Barack Obama; Supreme Court decision patterns 1941 to present; and contextual demographic and economic data.
